State Of The Art Costco Coming to Bonney Lake!

Big things are happening for the residents of Bonney Lake, the second Costco in East Pierce County is close to opening up its membership-only doors by summer 2018. The next closest location is currently in Puyallup.

Located on what used to be the Washington State University Demonstration Forest, this $30 million dollar and 150,000-square-foot Costco is looking to employ between 150-200 new employees. This Washington based company won’t only be adding to the employment pool in Bonney Lake, but also to the economy.

Economic Benefits for Bonney Lake

Visconsi Companies, who were partial owners of the forest space, estimate that Costco will bring in between $300,000- $500,000 in annual sales tax revenue, $400,000-500,000 in property tax revenue, $250,000 in construction sales tax to the city, $142,000 in building permit fees, $10,000 in sewer fees, $146,000 in water fees, $113,000 in storm water fees and $1.14 million in traffic impact fees.
